Book & Manuscript Editing Services

Why Is Manuscript Editing Important?

Hiring a professional to edit and/or critique your fiction or non-fiction manuscript is crucial to getting it accepted and published. Publishing houses are overwhelmed with submissions every day and don’t have time to waste on manuscripts with spelling errors or character and plot problems. Literary agents will also read your manuscript with a critical eye.

If you’re serious about having your work published, you understand that you need to know about problems with your manuscript beforehand. You need the assistance of a competent proofreader or editor. An editor can be your “second pair of eyes” and help your novel avoid the rejection pile. Manuscript editors and proofreaders can’t guarantee publication, but they can work with you to increase your chances.
